Could you be a councillor?

February 4, 2020 3:36 PM

In May 2020 there will be major elections for the new West Northamptonshire Unitary Council.
To be able to stand candidates in every ward we need more members to come forward.

Are you willing to set aside some time to serve your local community as one of our councillors?

We want to talk to people who care about their community and want to be part of a successful team. There's lots of support and guidance available to newbies. You're invited to come to a "Motivate Day" for candidates and prospective candidates across Northamptonshire this Sunday, 9th February in Wellingborough and we will also be holding a "mini conference" for candidates in March. Details here:

We all know how badly the Conservatives have let Northamptonshire residents down. We can offer voters a real alternative locally.

We will only be campaigning seriously in target wards where we have a chance of winning, so please let us know if you genuinely want to be a councillor or if you would prefer to be a 'paper' candidate. It's important that we have Lib Dem names on the ballot paper to give voters choice, even where we have no realistic chance of winning this time.

Whether you're already involved with your local community or want to step up and become more active, we have some great opportunities for you. To discuss the options in confidence, please email David Tarbun (info@southnorthantslibdems.org.uk) or call 07739597189.
